Christmas China

"China, you're such a pretty girl, you need to not be so worried all the time, there's really nothing to fret about." Hope stood in the passageway of the barn stroking the mares nose as she talked to her. They were waiting for Savannah to arrive with her new professional grade camera to take pictures of some of the horses before they headed out for a show.

A few moments later Savannah came into the barn, carrying a fist full of twigs, at least something that looked liked twigs.

"What are those for?" Hope asked.
"Decoration! I thought we could spice the old girl up and give her some flare...since she obviously is in need of some. I grabbed these Holly leaves to help."
"Oook, she may spook though if you try to put those pointy needles on her face."
"She'll be fine. It'll get her and possibly the rest of the barn into the Christmas spirit a little early."

Savannah pinned the Holly leaves onto China's bridle with no argument from the horse and they all three enjoyed a photo shoot before heading to the show grounds.

Eerm, kinda lame story, but this is just what happen. Nothing exciting, just kinda an average day with the girls and Miss. China. For those of you who don't know China, she's not a very confident horse.

*Sorry it's not transparent, I really was in the mood to do a detailed portrait and one with a classic feel. I don't know if I achieved classic feel or not, but I reeeally love how this came out. If I do anymore entries, they will possibly look like this. I'm thinking about bring out some oldies for this event just so I can do portraits of them. aka. Flash Gordon-who hasn't been drawn since HEWA standard testing. o.O Poor Gordon
