I may try to scanning this to see if I can get a better quality picture, but for now this was taken with my camera and edited in PS.

With my computer being out and my husband gone until midnight last night, this is what I worked on for 3 hours or so. I actually went for a walk around the neighborhood around 9:30 mostly in tears because it was Friday, I was alone with nothing to do and no phone or vehicle to help my situation. Then I passed by a well known house of an old painter. He sits in a window alcove in his home with the windows and blinds open while he paints. I've seen him a lot before but never at night, and at 9:30 nonetheless. He's old, don't old men go to bed at like 7? It made me think I should just stop crying about it and do the only thing that's left for me to do, draw, all-be-it, traditionally, but draw something.

So I spent the rest of the evening in the art room working on the pony I found here on dA that made me smile for the first time all day.

What a cute little chunk. Could probably stand to lose half his body weight, but adorable nonetheless!

I admit, I miss seeing your traditional work.

Yes he does, but that's what makes him so adorable! He's like one of those chunky babies you see adult women cooing over, pinching their cheeks and saying how adorable they are.

Look at his legs! They are barely holding him up! And the ref picture was from a show it looks like. I wonder how those results came out.

I like how his head and neck are just about half of his body mass!

Haha, I've become quite familiar with that analogy this past year! They usually go for the legs or arms in my experience, though *grin.*
